Immediate need for a Enterprise Project Manager for a position in the Banking Industry. This is 12+ month’s contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Richmond, VA. Please review the job description below:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, expertise and direction on one or more large-scale complex projects or programs.
  • Offer advanced-level project management oversight and directly influences activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close.
  • Serve as a single point-of-contact for and interfaces with all areas affected by IT projects including business owners, IT partners and , System executive management.
  • Adhere to PMI-based project management methodology bill in accordance with the FRS Technology Project Standard (TPS) and Technology Project Management (TPM).
  • Use industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of project goals and objectives, and milestones and deliverables, as well as compliance with all FRIT project management processes.
  • Assist in the direction and/or training of project analysts, technical staff and project support staff, where deemed appropriate.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Advanced knowledge and use of formal project management methodology and application of the PMBOK, as well as industry-standard trends and best practices in project management.
  • Strong ability to work with others in order to achieve a common goal, resolve conflicts and manage cross-functional and external relationships; demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence without authority.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work environment and install a 'sense of urgency' and motivation in others.
  • Ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely decisions; correlates data using standard business tools and approaches, spots trends and applies sound risk management principles.
  • Experience in oral and written communications with all levels of stakeholders from various cross-functional and support staff to senior level executives (authored writing samples required).
  • Ability to assemble and guide a cross-functional team to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, with a major in Information Systems Management or related field, and 2+ years experience managing small to moderately large IT projects or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience equal to 4 - 7 years.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
