QA Manager

Position Objective

ü  Significant client-facing experience (Director level up to CIO)

ü  Significant experience in a wide variety of technical environments

ü  Experience implementing solutions with a wide-variety of QA tools, including automation

ü  Significant experience implementing process improvement models such as CMMi, Six Sigma, ISO9000, etc.

ü  Experience managing a team that utilizes Quick Test Professional (QTP), Selenium, Visual Studio automation, or similar required

ü  Proven technical problem solver

ü  Significant Program/Project Management experience

Key Responsibilities

ü  Creation of an overall test/automation strategy

ü  Creation of Project Estimates (SOWs, RFPs, Change Controls, etc.)

ü  Creation and maintenance of a full life-cycle QA plan

ü  Creation and maintenance of a Master Test Plan

ü  Creation, maintenance and management of the Project Schedule

ü  Develop and execute manual test cases

ü  Managing the client relationship and Project Status Reporting

ü  Managing an onsite/remote team of 10 – 20 resources

ü  Expertise in Functional Testing, Black Box Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Services Testing, Security Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

ü  Self-starter with a positive attitude, willingness to learn new concepts and adapt to new technologies into current solutions

ü  Having excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

ü  Proactively manage towards improving defect prevention

ü  Competent to work under high pressure and stick to milestones.

ü  Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Unique Knowledge & Skill Requirement

ü  10+ years of IT experience; 5+ years managing QA teams

ü  Significant experience with QA tool suites, such as Client, IBM/Rational, Microsoft Visual Studio, etc.

ü  Significant experience with process improvement models (CMMi, Six Sigma, ISO9000)

ü  Familiarity with a broad range of automation tools

ü  Expertise in ETL process and writing SQL query statements

ü  BI reporting preferred

ü  Expertise integrating tools: Requirements Management, Test Case Management, Defect Management, Software Configuration Management, Release Management, Deployment Management

Education

Experience (years)

B.Tech (CS/IT) or equivalent

10+ yrs.
