Immediate need for a talented Dealer Products Accounting with experience in the Banking & Financial Industry.This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The analyst will be required to perform the following functions in addition to ad hoc tasks assigned:
  • Prepare and record journal entries monthly
  • Prepare analytic schedules as part of the monthly/quarterly close process
  • Prepare account reconciliations monthly and research any variances
  • Assist with obtaining support for requests made by external auditors
  • Prepare quarterly schedules used in SEC, Japan, and governmental reporting, including analytics and tie out
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and process improvement
  • Monthly reporting and analysis in addition to the above day-to-day accounting function,
  • Step in and help when needed (covering, special projects, etc.)
  • What specific Client departments will they interact with?
  • Various groups including Tax, Dealer Credit, and Risk
  • How long is this project (please be specific)?
  • Indefinite, based on skill and performance.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  •  4-year Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA.
  • Either 3+ years of public accounting experience (month-end close) & looking to transition into corporate accounting AND/OR.
  • 5+ years (no more than 10-15) of private accounting experience.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills – stronger the better (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, basic macros).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting concepts.
  • Prior experience performing month-end close process.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills as the analyst will need to interact with various departments.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
  • Industry experience in financial services.
  • Prior experience working with an ERP such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
  • Prior experience performing the functions outlined above.
  • Host system experience.
