Key Responsibilities:
  • Network team at local region is looking to add two experienced RF engineer with in-building expertise to design, optimize and launch various in-building projects throughout Carolinas and TN region.
  • Expertise include designing in iBwave, walk testing, CW testing, Verifying construction packages, overseeing post design activities for In-house implementation team as needed, validating design via post design activities, project management, reporting, tracking, database updates, attending onsite offsite meetings etc.
  • Also update and populate all internal databases, work with various team and project management to provide RF support on end to end process.
  • Optimization and project management of complex large venues like stadiums & airports, Arenas, rack track, DAS and small cell design to offload network capacity.
  • Working with RF Teams for monitoring and trending of capacity to ensure meets network performance needs of LTE/VoLTE RAN network.
  • Interfaces with Real Estate, Construction, Project Management & Sales team to support project related activities, periodic updates, team meetings, attend site walks.
  • Preparing FCC/FAA and FAS submissions in a timely manner; performing radio engineering evaluation for system planning and site acquisition.
  • To perform various engineering task including but not limited to: Identify and evaluate DAS or distributed RAN solution feasibility and design objective, produce design using client based standards and tool ( iBwave proficient & L2/L3 certified preferred), site survey, design documentation, DAS Integration & commissioning.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Support, Pre and post launch Optimization, Event Monitoring, and Report generation as well as Optimization of voice and data on LTE network.
  • Compile and maintain all project documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Contractor should have strong DAS experience on major DAS vendor equipment like Corning Mobile Access, Commscope, TEKO, ADRF, SoLID, TE Prism as well as excellent EUTRAN knowledge (Ericsson) is essential for this position.
  • Occasional site visit (within local market Area). A valid driver’s license with good record is required.
  • Hands on experience on data collection tool such as Datapro, TEMS , Falcon smart, WiND, Symphony, etc.
  • Hands on experience on data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
  • Hands on experience on design and optimization tools like ATOLL, IBWAVE, Zite, Truecall, FUZE / Site tracker, ELPT, RTT, AMOS, site/sector level parameters, Unix, Scripting tools, Mapping software ex Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Topo, Excellent MS office skills.
  • Must have strong work ethic, integrity and work extremely well in a team.
  • Ability to work with flexible hours and with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Ability to demonstrate communication skills by communicating, verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the cellular or telecommunications.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in relevant field with job duties as defined above.
