Network Engineer

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support large-scale network hardware deployments across data centers nationwide.
• Work closely with lead Deployment Engineers to:
• Plan rack designs and input into the DCIM tool (Sunbird DC Track).
• Manage power distribution and network connectivity planning.
• Coordinate logistics:
• Shipping gear
• Submitting site access and delivery tickets via colo portals
• Scheduling vendors and deployments
• Oversee vendor management:
• Be on-call during daytime deployments to resolve questions or roadblocks.
• Submit RFPs and manage third-party contractors.
• Maintain detailed deployment schedules and ensure execution accuracy.
• Utilize internal workflow tools and documentation to ensure compliance with deployment procedures.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key Skills; DataCenter, DCIM, vendor management and logistics coordination
• 5–7 years of relevant experience (flexible based on expertise).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure deployment principles.
• Experience with DCIM tools (preferred: Sunbird DC Track).
• Prior experience in vendor management and logistics coordination.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable making decisions and asking questions without needing hand-holding.
• Experience with Visio (rack layout diagrams).
• Proficiency with Excel, including formulas.
• Exposure to ticketing systems (e.g., colo portals or internal tools).
• Familiarity with hardware placement, rack design, and network topology.
