Pay Range: $50 - $60/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multiple development work streams through integration, ensuring the architecture is scalable and extensible.
• Define, maintain, and support the Java development environment and best practices, including tools such as Maven, Sonar, and other Open-Source utilities.
• Identify, isolate, resolve, and communicate problems within production and non-production environments, performing troubleshooting as needed.
• Deliver API platform capabilities using open-source tools like Envoy, Microgateway, JWT, Key Management, External Identity Mapping, Datadog, Security, and more.
• Design APIs using SwaggerHub to build, collaborate, and integrate APIs effectively.
• Develop and maintain a common API framework.
• Migrate existing APIs to Kubernetes or Azure.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using open-source frameworks.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Drive the development and release of new API products in the marketplace.
• Promote consumer adoption of new API products.
• Decommission legacy assets in alignment with enterprise goals and objectives.
• Manage WI infrastructure needs related to the API platform offering within enterprise cloud computing.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Java, Spring MVC / Spring boot / Web Services (REST)
• (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy
• API Migration
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Development Experience: 8+ years of hands-on development experience in Java, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Web Services (REST), and configuring web containers.
• Technical Contributions: Ability to make significant contributions to the technology platform.
• API Management: Working knowledge of API management software, such as envoy-based API Gateway.
• Development Environment: Proficiency in IDEs like Spring Tool Suite and Eclipse within UNIX and Windows environments.
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with application build and deployment using Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Maven, and uDeploy.
• Leadership and Collaboration: A team player, self-starter, collaborative, innovative, and eager to learn every day, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Containerization and Cloud Services: Understanding and hands-on knowledge of Docker, cloud computing/cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and API Gateway.
• API Strategy: Ability to clearly articulate API strategies to all partners.
