Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location)

• Support and work in conjunction with the Nurse Manager in daily unit operations
• Provide leadership oversight for Emergency Department staff across various shifts
• Assist with staff accountability, performance coaching, and evaluations
• Serve as a resource and mentor to charge nurses and frontline staff
• Support staff recruitment, engagement, and retention
• Promote patient-centered care through shared governance and collaboration
• Assist with budget planning, fiscal monitoring, and resource management
• Ensure staff compliance with clinical standards, policies, and ethical practice
• Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and performance initiatives
• Participate in change management and operational improvement efforts
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the Nurse Manager’s absence
• Uphold regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements while supporting service excellence

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Must Have Skills
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and support nursing staff
• Experience or aptitude in unit operations, staffing, and workflow management
• Knowledge of quality, safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Ability to use data, technology, and evidence to support clinical and operational decisions
• Interest in nursing leadership and management career progression
• Understanding of risk management and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
• Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
• Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
