Production Support Engineer

Pay Range: $50 - $58/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Change and Release management focusing on production stability
• Develop, maintain and execute automation scripts within our orchestration framework to ensure application health across FICC applications
• Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments at start of week and start of day
• Release implementation and post-release testing
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
• Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
• Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
• Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements
• BCP/Arc preparation, automation and execution within the standard operating procedure
• The ability to quickly and independently develop expertise is a highly valued attribute of the MAPS FICC Platform Services technical analyst.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Production Support, Splunk/ Dynatrace, Linux, Python/Perl/Shell
• The ability to rationalize the impact of multiple concurrent issues/requests and prioritize work accordingly
• An independent sense of motivation to continuously improve themselves and the environment
• An Client problem solving ability which leads to solution alternatives that reflect the analyst’s diverse foundation of knowledge, skills and experiences
• The confidence, focus, and adaptable communication style required to effectively coordinate restoration efforts for high-impact technology incidents
• Operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows
• Scripting languages: Unix Shell, Perl, Python, SQL (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc...)
• UI testing automation - Tosca
• Orchestration: CutOver
• Well-rounded understanding of ITIL and infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging)
