Business System Analyst

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business to analyze current system requirements and translate those requirements into specifications for Quoting API workflow.
• Write requirements based on information above.
• Analyze system defects for validity.
• Facilitate requirements refinement meeting.
• Provide insights and feedback into requirements syncs and system test plans.
• Recommend and implement industry accepted tools, techniques, methodologies, best practices, and standards to elicit, prioritize, organize, document, model, and analyze business requirements, diverse in complexity and scope used in high level requirements and/or story cards.
• Articulate the business needs and applies industry-accepted tools and techniques that result in efficient and effective requirements to produce new and/or improved solutions.
• Collaborate with business customers on complex, strategically planned systems enhancements or new system designs.
• May provide guidance to others on the requirements process, tools and techniques.
• Lead requirement review sessions to ensure standards adherence.
• Provide leadership and oversight in the high-level planning, execution, deployment and closing phases of a project.
• Perform post validation testing, with desire to do some QA testing.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills:  Duck Creek ,
• Writing requirements for APIs ,
• Commercial Auto Quoting ,
• Postman (similar tools acceptable). Will do post- production validation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration, influencing, and relationship building skills
• Experience in Scrum/Agile
• Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills fostering environment of continuous improvement
• Translating existing business rules into requirements for project team using industry standards
• Understanding and experience writing requirements for APIs.
• Deep experience with multi-tiered applications involving data, data contracts, rules-guided events, synchronous API request/response, headless solutions, and working effectively with business logic across each layer of the desired solution
• Knowledge and experience writing requirements in Personal or Commercial auto domains
• Experience testing APIs for potential Quality Assurance help and/or production validation.
• Experience using Postman
• Duck Creek experience
• Commercial Lines Quoting or API experience.
