Senior Mechanical Designer

Pay Range: $38 - $45/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical layouts and detailed drawings for integrated microwave assemblies and electronic sub-systems.
• Apply expertise in electronics packaging to ensure optimal thermal, structural, and manufacturability performance.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Incorporate complex engineering change orders (ECOs) into existing designs.
• Serve as a liaison between Responsible Engineers and Mechanical Engineers for design layout coordination.
• Recommend component hardware selections and prepare parts lists.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Manage CAD model and drawing creation, revision, and release using Pro/INTRALINK.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
   

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Minimum 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CREO 4 or higher.
• Demonstrated experience in electronics packaging.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Manage CAD model and drawing creation, revision, and release using Pro/INTRALINK
