Functional Safety Engineer

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• The role of FuSa engineer will include cross-functional work with internal technical departments. It will include communication with internal and external suppliers and customers.
• The FuSa Engineer will be expected to have clear written and verbal communication skills and resolve issues through consensus building.
• The FuSa Engineer’s Responsibilities will include (but not limited to:
• Develop, modify, maintain, and distribute processes for functional safety at a systems level. This includes interacting with other teams & organizations such as Corporate Functional Safety team & EBU on process interfaces. Additionally, the work would include managing the functional and technical safety concept requirements and processes and tweaking per customer needs
• Reviewing the functional safety work product for product development teams to assure they achieve the expectations of Functional Safety processes.
• Provide training as necessary on the systems level functional safety processes and tools.
• Interfacing with production, services, operations & decommissioning process owners for the CSE Digital Tools and Connected Systems Team and the EBU Powertrain Integration team.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a culture of functional safety within Client product development processes by interacting with the Corporate Functional safety team

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: - Functional Safety, ISO 26262, Automotive, ADAS
