Key Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge maps to identify needs and gaps, drive standardization, and demonstrate the value of Knowledge Management .
- Utilize Knowledge Management’s best practices to assess possible knowledge solutions .
- Support business initiatives and goals and map knowledge impacts and implement change/solutions .
- Develop, maintain and continually improve: - The knowledgebase content, taxonomy and organization - The processes for managing knowledge - The processes around the creation and use of knowledge .
- Leads small/mid-size projects or components of a larger project and directs one or more teams of business consultants involved in the evaluation of systems requirements and/or the development of new procedures/processes/or product solutions to address highly complex business needs.
- Recommend best knowledge solution for the organizational needs .
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) on knowledge needs .
- Promote a knowledge sharing culture .
- Identifies opportunities to improve performance of our matrix partners through deep understanding of business needs and results.
- Consult on future content creation priorities.
- Demonstrates impact of initiatives to the business.
- Understands the business they are supporting and identifies key business priorities and needs.
- Ensures that all key stakeholders are aware of progress, status, and potential risks .
- Stay abreast of industry trends in the field of Knowledge Management and seeks opportunities for self-directed development .
- Performs other duties as assigned .
- Travels as needed .
- Key Skills:Visio, project management, process mapping
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Ability to flowchart a business process and translate it into an operating procedure with Microsoft Visio or BlueWorks Live preferred.
- 2 years of business experience at a minimum with previous project management experience strongly preferred.
- 1 -2 years’ experience with continuous quality improvement methods and tools a plus (e.g., Six Sigma, agile, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to share knowledge with individuals w/ varying levels of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results required.
- Comfortable with raising questions, issues, and ideas to co-workers of all levels across all organizations.
- Act with a sense of urgency to research questions or issues brought by the team.
- Identify the right parties or resources to resolve these issues.
- Follow up with these parties to drive resolution and provide on-going feedback to individual(s) who raised the question or issue.
- Be a positive role model and can work independently and in conjunction with co-workers of all levels.
- Ability to create and implement contingency plans and solutions for problems that arise.
- Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong technical and computer skills.
- Strong work ethic; and a customer service focus to deliver the wow experience.
