Power Test engineer

Immediate need for a talented Power Test engineer. This is a 06 - 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Milpitas CA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $45/hr - $50/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on lab work using power analyzers such as oscilloscope, function generators, electronic-loads, AC/DC power source, etc.
• Execute board-mount/front-end power test cases
• Identify and document bugs/issues with design through validation and report to team members/design team.
• Document test data into test reports

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Knowledge on power electronics (e.g AC/DC- DC/DC conversion, power conversion topologies)
• Understanding of Board-mount/Front-end Power
• Proficiency with various power analyzers (e.g oscilloscope, AC/DC power source, function generators, electronic-loads, etc.)
• Experience with soldering components on pcb.
• Proficiency in reading schematics
• Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment
• Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a lab environment
• Experience in test planning, validation, finding failures and driving issues to resolution with cross functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to document test results/data into a concise test report in a complete manner
• Scripting knowledge
