Associate Technician IV(Chemist, Food Safety)/ Chemist
Immediate need for a talented Associate Technician IV(Chemist, Food Safety)/ Chemist. This is a 02 - 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Napoleon, Ohio (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy metal testing, pesticide testing (in foods purchased), allergen testing, etc.
- Test finished products for heavy metals and allergens.
- Ensure compliance with ISO accreditation standards.
- (30%) Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all analytical equipment including GC/MS, GC/MS/MS,
- LC/MS/MS, LC/QTOF, and ICP/MS. Troubleshoot analytical methods, both procedural and instrumental. Complying with ISO accreditation.
- (20%) Identify and quantify components of interest and unknowns with both accuracy and precision.
- (15%) Participate in analytical proficiency programs and investigate any corrective actions. Complying with ISO accreditation.
- (15%) Keep current with new and developing technologies. Design and validate additional analytical procedures.
- (10%) Validate and maintain multi-level standard reference solutions.
- (10%) Ensure compliance with all internal plant, corporate, local, state, and federal regulatory standard
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Education: Degree in Chemistry or Forensics with a focus on analytical testing. Candidates without this background will not be considered. A master's degree is acceptable but must be accompanied by industry experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in the field. Candidates should not be fresh out of school.
- Preferred Experience: Food safety or food industry experience is preferred, though pharmaceutical experience is also acceptable.
- Strong understanding of how to operate analytical instruments.
- Proficiency in GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS, LC/QTOF, and ICP/MS.
- Ability to operate these instruments with minimal training.
- Food-related testing experience is less critical than instrumentation experience.
- Degree and Lab Knowledge: Strong educational background and laboratory skills.
- Instrumentation: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments.
