Key Responsibilities:

• Specialized Vascular & Cardiac Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from vascular surgeries (e.g., aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, peripheral bypass), managing conditions like peripheral artery disease (PAD), and those requiring telemetry for cardiac monitoring.
• Telemetry Expertise: Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and initiate appropriate interventions. Manage patients on telemetry while addressing their vascular surgical needs.
• Post-Operative Management: Perform detailed vascular assessments (e.g., pedal pulses, capillary refill, skin integrity), manage surgical wounds and drains, and monitor for complications such as bleeding, thrombosis, or infection.
• Patient Education: Provide extensive education on vascular disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and signs of postoperative complications.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, wound care specialists, and rehabilitation therapists to execute comprehensive care plans.
• Quality & Safety: Adhere to strict protocols for vascular assessment and telemetry monitoring. Participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives focused on vascular and cardiac outcomes.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Skills-Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• Current BLS certification (required upon hire)
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience
• Experience in telemetry, vascular, or cardiac nursing
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is highly preferred.
• Certification in Vascular Nursing (CVN) or Cardiac/Vascular Nursing is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience is required.
• Direct patient care experience in Telemetry, Cardiac Step-down, Vascular Surgery, or Medical-Surgical nursing is highly preferred.
• Expertise in telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition.
• Strong clinical assessment skills with a focus on vascular and circulatory status.
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a higher-acuity patient assignment and respond decisively to emergencies.
