Pay Range: $33/hour - $58/hour. Competitive compensation based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced nursing care for patients undergoing a wide range of outpatient GI procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs). Administer moderate sedation/analgesia, monitor patient responses, and assist with complex therapeutic interventions.Expert Procedural Care:• 
• Function as a subject matter expert and resource for other staff. Anticipate procedural needs, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain the sterile field with a high degree of autonomy and critical thinking.Clinical Leadership:• 
• Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Perform pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to safety protocols.Patient Flow & Safety:• 
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor for newer nurses and students, modeling best practices in GI procedural care, sterile technique, and emergency response.Mentorship & Preceptorship:• 
• Actively participate in and lead performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and protocol development to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.Quality Improvement:• 

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key skills; Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• Current BLS certification (required upon hire)
• Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience
• Substantial GI Lab, Endoscopy, or procedural nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing (Diploma or ADN) is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification is highly preferred and often required in procedural settings.
• Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (CGRN) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience is required.
• Extensive experience in a GI Lab, Endoscopy Suite, or other procedural area (e.g., Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology) is essential. Experience with conscious sedation is required.
• Expert clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to function independently.
• Superior knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and sterile technique.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond decisively and composedly to emergencies.
