Pay Range: $49 - $50/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and Maintain Mainframe Applications: Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications, focusing on CMOD, DB2, and JCL.
• CMOD Development: Work with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) for document and content management, including customization and integration with other applications.
• DB2 Database Management: Perform database design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting tasks related to DB2. Write complex SQL queries and manage stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• JCL Programming: Create, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch jobs, ensuring smooth execution and efficient resource utilization.
• Application Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production applications, identifying and resolving issues related to CMOD, DB2, and JCL.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize application performance for CMOD, DB2, and JCL processes, ensuring fast and efficient processing of large data volumes.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, process flows, and user guides.

 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Mainframe
• CMOD (Content Manager OnDemand) Mandate Skills 
• Cobol or JCL or db2
• Mainframe Development: Strong experience in mainframe application development, including experience with IBM CMOD, DB2, and JCL.
• CMOD (Content Manager OnDemand): Hands-on experience with CMOD for managing and storing large volumes of documents and content, including integration with mainframe applications.
• DB2: Advanced knowledge of DB2, including database design, SQL query development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• JCL (Job Control Language): Proficiency in writing and managing JCL for batch job execution, including error handling, scheduling, and resource management.
• Cobol/Assembler/PL1 Programming (optional but a plus): Experience with programming languages typically used in mainframe environments.
• Debugging and Problem-Solving: Strong skills in troubleshooting mainframe applications, database issues, and batch job failures.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or ChangeMan.
• Mainframe Tools: Experience with tools like TSO/ISPF, File-AID, and others commonly used in mainframe development.
