Journeyman IT Operations (Desktop Support)

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Seasoned individual contributor.
• Works under limited supervision for routine situations.
• Aids and trains lower-level associates.
• Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand.
• Makes minor adjustments to working methods.
• Explains practices, procedures, and policies to reach agreement with others outside of the job area.
• Hands-on support for the networking and server team so there will be off-hours required on weekends or weeknights
• Provides administrative or technical support at a senior level.
• Proficient in the various competencies relevant to their job.
• May act as a lead or mentor to administrative support personnel.
• Works on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
• Generally works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Determines methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Normally receives little instruction on daily work.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet on a scissor lift.
• Plus, the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Two-year college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2-year experience in functional area.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years functional experience.
• Has a substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Supporting everything in the environment - Laptops, thin clients, RF guns, printers, network troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, Wireless), security cameras, and more.
• Good background in PC deployment, handling tickets, and technical troubleshooting (certifications are not a must, really focused on experience and ability)
• Must have good communication/interpersonal skills.
• Organized, Go-getter, curious, and asks questions.
