Release and Deployment Lead

Pay Range: CAD 38 - CAD 40/hour on T4.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Release Management:
• Own and manage the overall release calendar across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production).
• Coordinate release planning and scheduling with project managers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct release readiness reviews, go/no-go meetings, and post-release retrospectives.
• Track and manage release scope, risks, and dependencies.
• Maintain version control and release documentation.
• Deployment Management:
• Plan and lead the deployment of application changes across test and production environments.
• Coordinate environment setup, rollback procedures, and deployment validation activities.
• Ensure that release and deployment activities follow change management and governance processes.
• Monitor deployments and respond to issues or failures during the release window.

 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:  

• Key skills; Release, Deployment
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficiency in using project tracking tools (JIRA, confluence)
• Hands-on experience using ServiceNow for change, release, incident and problem management. 
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
