Key Responsibilities:
- Rollout of the strategic monitoring tool across Banking Client applications.
- SME for monitoring tools that form part of the global monitoring strategy.
- Monitoring setup for Applications on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
- Host demos, overviews, and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.).
- Liaise with Client in the planning and scheduling of deployments.
- Consult with Client teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool.
- Preparation of reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics.
- Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy.
- Key Skills:Monitoring tools(Dynatrace, Splunk, Tivoli, Sitescope, and Catchpoint.), Java/.net, have experience designing and building end-end monitoring solutions.
- 4-year college degree required.
- 2+ years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications.
- 5+ years production systems Architecting and/or support role.
- Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as – Dynatrace, Tivoli, Client, Sitescope, Catchpoint.
- Familiarity with supporting monitoring on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
- Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET).
- Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring.
- Proven experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.).
- Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes.
- An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role.
- A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual.
- A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality.
- Previous experience in develop oment and/or support of applications.
- Experience in Major Incident Management.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working and being successful in a large, multi-data center enterprise environment.
- Business acumen a plus. Communication and flexibility are important skills for this role, as special projects may be assigned over time.
