Job Requirements of Procurement Contracts Negotiator 2:
Key Responsibilities:
- Through communication and solid relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, this role will review, draft, and negotiate agreements with procurement vendors and administer.
- All activities related to vendor contracts for the purchase of professional and enterprise services commodities (facilities, consulting, travel, memberships/claims, HR/marketing), information technology commodities (software, hardware, telecom, security), and health operations commodities (population health & clinical operations, pharmacy, quality & risk adjustment, payment integrity).
- Agreement types include master service agreements (MSA), business associate agreements (BAA), delegated services agreements, statements of work (SOW), nondisclosure agreements (NDA), service level agreements (SLA), software license agreements, and related third-party contracts.
- Drafts and approves amendments, terminations, contract summaries, and other contract-related tasks.
- Reviews, interprets, and advises relevant departments of contractual rights and obligations
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, as they relate to legal, contractual, and risk management standards.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Skills-Contract Negotiations, Procurement and Agreements.
- 3-5 years of contracting, procurement, and/or legal experience
- General understanding of the sourcing and procurement processes with soliciting, awarding, and onboarding new and existing vendors
- Advanced understanding of negotiating, redlining, and interpreting legal and commercial provisions
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain/Procurement, or related field
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, specifically managing complex contract negotiations through Tracked Changes
