Subsurface Data Analyst with Petrel

Pay Range: $65 - $75/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Petrotech Data Management and GGRe stakeholders to understand and execute prioritized business requirements for the integration timeline.
• Petrel subsurface data loading, excluding OpenSpirit.
• Downloading and organizing subsurface data from various sources like well logs, seismic surveys, and seismic interpretation.
• Ensure data integrity within Petrel and Studio through validation and quality control.
• Applying data processing techniques to clean and prepare data for analysis
• Track and manage deliverables appropriately.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills:Subsurface Data Analysis, Well Data Management, Petrel Studio; Data Validation; Data Visualization .
• Strong understanding of Exploration & Production (E&P) data types (seismic, well logs, geological and geophysical interpretations).
• Proficiency in database management principles.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• 7+ years of experience working with subsurface data.
• Understanding of “What is a Well” and application to subsurface well data management.
• Well data management in Studio and Petrel.
• Petrel Studio Administration.
• Petrel SRD understanding, experience & implications.
• Petrel data loading; not OpenSpirit.
• Petrel data tagging and Petrel folder management.
• Well tops stratigraphy management.
• Global well logs management.
• Geodetics familiarity & understanding.
• Seismic data management experience with Studio and Petrel.
• 10+ years of experience working with subsurface well data.
• CRS management in Studio and Petrel.
• Petrel Studio data management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
