Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating and Bidding
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare competitive bids
- Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Project Management
- Oversee awarded projects from contract negotiation to final completion
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, ensuring compliance with specifications
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, general contractors, and architects
- Address project changes, delays, and challenges while maintaining client satisfaction
- Technical and Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, union requirements, and other industry regulations
- Provide technical expertise in coatings, wallcoverings, and specialized finishes
- Continuous Improvement and Growth
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and project efficiencies
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices
- Skills-commercial estimating, Estimating and Bidding and Bluebeam.
- Minimum of 3 years in estimating or project management within commercial painting, coatings, or wallcovering
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff
- Familiarity with union labor costs, industrial coatings, and high-performance painting applications
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts, coordinate teams, and interact professionally with clients
- High attention to detail in estimating, scheduling, and managing budgets
- Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, and project management tools.
