Junior Business Analyst

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Must understand, document, and clearly explain complex business requirements and processes
• Influence / recommend target state business architecture from current state
• Transform target state processes to a functional design
• Analyze and organize business data for easier understanding, access, and troubleshooting
• Define data and process governance. Must know how to apply governance even if it is not formally requested or required
• Able to create positive interactions with operations staff, change management, and technology
• Can bridge the gap between operational wants / needs and what technology delivers
• Capable of innovating operational improvements, by simplification or reducing operational risk

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Finance Services, Agile, SQL, Requirements Gathering
• Financial services.
• 2-4 years of overall experience.
• SQL query skills.
• Must have Agile environment background.
• General BA skills (requirements gathering/writing).
• 7+ years as business analyst or equivalent in the Financial Industry
• Can demonstrate high level of critical thinking
• Must understand current GMOT Collateral Infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to work in a highly demanding position with a global user base
• Must have a background in (insert tech here: ex: mainframe technologies, distributed)
• Experience with agile methodology
• Able to direct business and technical analysis of more junior team members
• Prior experience as developer, data analyst, or technology manager in Client Markets domain
• Able to look at data across multiple systems, identify and document legacy data anomalies, write and execute SQL, use of Excel functions and tools to assess and report data quality
