Pay Range: $33  - $59 /hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

• Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care during pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Serve as circulating nurse or scrub nurse to support various surgical specialties
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments, verify consents, and ensure all safety protocols are met
• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold all OR safety and infection control standards
• Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation and monitoring
• Perform surgical timeouts, counts, and safety checks according to protocol
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team members to ensure smooth workflow
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the perioperative process
• Document all care, interventions, and intra-operative activities accurately in the EHR
• Support post-operative handoff to PACU and ensure comprehensive patient transition
• Participate in quality improvement, OR workflow optimization, and equipment/supply evaluations.

• Key Skills; Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and AORN guidelines.
• Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing for surgical procedures
• Expertise in sterile technique, infection control, and maintaining a sterile field
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and adapt quickly during procedures
• Skilled in surgical equipment operation, instrument handling, and patient positioning
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
• Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to client care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and AORN guidelines
• Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing for surgical procedures
• Expertise in sterile technique, infection control, and maintaining a sterile field
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and adapt quickly during procedures

• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and intraoperative decision-making skills
• Ability to respond effectively to surgical emergencies and rapid changes in patient status
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for surgeon, anesthesia, and OR staff collaboration
• Accurate, timely documentation during all perioperative phases
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and focused in high-pressure environments
