Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily unit operations for the assigned shift
• Assign patient care responsibilities and manage staffing coverage
• Maintain patient flow, bed assignments, and discharge planning
• Provide clinical oversight and take a modified patient assignment as needed
• Round on patients to ensure quality, safety, and appropriateness of care
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care delivery and ensure timely, accurate documentation
• Communicate unit needs and performance issues to nurse leadership
• Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness
• Participate in quality improvement, shared governance, and performance initiatives
• Precept and mentor nursing staff to support professional development
• Ensure effective use of staffing, equipment, and unit resources

 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience: -

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Prior charge nurse or relief charge experience (preferred)
• Strong clinical expertise in General Surgery / Operating Room
• Ability to lead and direct staff during assigned shifts
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking
• Strong communication, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to manage patient flow, staffing, and unit operations
• Experience working in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Proficiency with clinical documentation / EMR systems
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-acuity or emergency situations
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
• Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
