Accessibility Lead

Pay Range: $60 - $70/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Contractor will work across platforms and coordinate data collection and assist in the development of accessibility roadmaps.
- Will be primarily responsible for documenting the current state level of accessibility in the HR and Legal Systems while ensuring that roadmaps exist to address accessibility gaps.
- Will work closely with our UXD and Angular developers to resolve accessibility test issues.
- Assist in performing accessibility assessments of digital assets such as company mobile /desktop sites, applications, as well as 3rd party vendor software for evaluation.
- Help assess and perform accessibility remediation of documents such as PDFs.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; WCAG, HR and Legal, Wave, Axe, CPWA, CPACC and WAS
- Experience with various common systems used in the HR and Legal (e.g., HCM, LMS, Learning, Talent Acquisition, Case Management systems, etc.). Having experience with three or more of these is most ideal
- Experience using accessibility testing tools (Evinced, WAVE, Axe, Chrome DevTools) and assistive technologies, such as screen readers (JAWs, NVDA, VoiceOver)
- Knowledge of front-end development tools, including semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA
- Familiarity with WCAG and US disability laws
- Experience with User Experience Services in development and audit of WCAG or related compliance
- CPACC or WAS certifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and a minimum of 4 years related work experience.
- In lieu of degree, a minimum of 6 years of related work experience and CPACC, CUA, CXA, or WAS certification.
