Pay Range: $60 - $64/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full life cycle of electric utility projects, ensuring successful execution from planning to completion.
• Handle financial aspects including budgeting, scheduling, and financial forecasting.
• Oversee 12-15 projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and meet with clients in the field when necessary.
• Ensure projects align with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Power BI, Smartsheet’s, CAD, and Primavera (preferred).
• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Project Manager to oversee electric utility projects in the Chicagoland area.
• The successful candidate will have a strong background in utility/electrical distribution, financial forecasting, and engineering (preferably electrical).
• This role requires expertise in public infrastructure and roadway/bridge reconstruction projects.
• Candidates with engineering or construction experience in the utility sector are strongly preferred.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills: Project Management
• Transmissions
• Substations
• 4-6 years of project management experience.
• Strong experience in the utility or public infrastructure industry (electric preferred).
• Proven experience with roadway/bridge reconstruction, sewer, storm, or water main construction projects.
• Engineering or construction experience is highly desirable.
• PMP certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software: Microsoft Project, Power BI, Smartsheet’s, CAD, Primavera (preferred).
• Civil engineering experience is a plus.
• Experience working in temporary roles that transitioned to permanent positions.
