Netbackup Infrastructure Engineer

Pay Range: $69 - $75/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the group maintaining and developing Infrastructure.
• Develop and extend tools to maintain and monitor deployments.
• Assess, document, present, and execute project assignments.
• Evaluate and recommend commercial and open-source software.
• Automate complex processes.
• Escalation point of contact to answer system related questions.
• Train and Mentor team members, system administrators and operators.
• Provide production support.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills:UNIX/Linux ,Python ,DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, FTP.
• 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, strong understanding of Linux OS.
• BASH or other shell scripting knowledge.
• 5+ years of experience working with VERITAS NetBackup including Flex Appliances and Cloud Storage.
• 2+ years of Veritas IT Analytics experience including installation and administration.
• 3+ years of Quantum Tape Systems.
• 3+ years of understanding and working knowledge of fundamental Internet Protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, FTP).
• Web/Internet Security experience.
• Configuration management experience (e.g., puppet, Git, Subversion.) CI/CD
• 3+ years of hands-on Programming experience in Python.
• 2+ years of Veritas Infoscale Clustering experience/knowledge.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
