Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative assessments and prepare patients and operating rooms for surgery.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are ready and functional.
- Assist surgeons during procedures and manage circulating and scrubbing duties as needed.
- Monitor patient condition and document all intra-operative care accurately.
- Coordinate safe patient transfer and handoff to PACU while ensuring adherence to all safety and infection-control protocols.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice (or eNLC, if applicable).
- 1 year Operating Room experience preferred; new grads considered based on facility needs.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS optional based on specialty cases).
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, sterile technique, and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong critical thinking and teamwork skills.
