Care Management Support Coordinator I

Key Responsibilities:     
  • Shift: Shift is usually M-F 8am to 5pm within the staff’s time zone.  Overtime is not required.
  • Training: Training is going to be 2 weeks, first week learning the basics, then shadowing and taking live calls.
  • Utilizing telephonic engagement techniques to find members who frequent emergency rooms to help identify barriers impacting their ability to use the appropriate services and educate them on the options available. 
  • Talking to members enrolled in our health plans and utilize knowledge of resources to make referrals to address member needs.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Key Skills:1.5 to 2 years of call center experience
  • Call center role
  • Produce quite a bit and pick it up quickly - quick learner
  • Listening skills
  • Probing skills
  • Follow up questions
  • Looking for someone who can do high volume and keep the customer service high quality
  • Needs to be tech savvy (excel, word outlook)- using multiple systems and multitasking
  • Mostly outbound calls with some inbound calls.
  • Outbound will be working off a list of members they are calling and inbound calls will be members returning their call
  • They will be diverting some calls to proper departments
  • They will be doing research on the members cases before making the calls, reaching out to providers/pharmacies to get information
  • Healthcare background helps - dr offices, clinics, ect
