Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Support the Nurse Manager in daily operations of the Med-Surg unit
• Assist with staff supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability
• Promote patient-centered care, service excellence, and staff engagement
• Serve as a resource for charge nurses and clinical staff
• Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and retention
• Support budget awareness, staffing efficiency, and resource management
• Participate in quality improvement, performance initiatives, and shared governance
• Help implement change management and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
• Use data and metrics to support clinical and operational decision-making
• Model professional nursing practice and leadership behaviors

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Skills-Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, and support nursing staff
• Experience supporting unit operations, staffing, and performance accountability
• Knowledge of shared governance and patient-centered care models
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to support quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Interest in progressive nursing leadership / management development
• Ability to use data, technology, and evidence-based practice to support decisions
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
