Key Responsibilities:
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Duration: 13 weeks (05/18/2026 – 08/23/2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
- On-Call: No
- Operate GE CT scanners to produce diagnostic images for emergency, inpatient, and neuro patients
- Perform trauma, stroke, and burn CT protocols with speed and accuracy
- Position patients appropriately and select optimal technical factors
- Administer contrast media as required for enhanced imaging procedures
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain patient safety and radiation protection standards
- Document procedures accurately in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with emergency department physicians, radiologists, and trauma team members
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
- Adapt to operating multiple scanner platforms (including older GE platforms and Revolution scanner platform)
- Maintain equipment and report malfunctions appropriately
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must-Have Skills:ARRT (CT) certification – required
- Level 1 trauma center experience
- Experience with GE scanners
- Proficiency in trauma, stroke, and burn imaging
- EPIC computer software experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT (CT) certification – required
- ARRT (R) certification – required as base
- AHA BLS certification – required
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience – required
- Level 1 trauma center experience – required
- Experience with GE scanners (both older platforms and Revolution platform) – required
- Trauma, stroke, and burn imaging experience
- EPIC EMR experience – required
- Strong technical knowledge of CT equipment and trauma protocols
- Excellent patient positioning and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume Level 1 trauma center
- Proficiency in contrast media administration
- Attention to detail and commitment to image quality and patient safety
- Candidate Type: Travel Only
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia (specific facility details provided upon interview)
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center (Emergency Care Center, Inpatient, Neuro Floor)
- Scanners: 3 scanners in ECC, 2 for inpatient, 1 on neuro floor (used overnight)
- Scanner Platform: GE (2 older platform, 5 Revolution scanner platform)
- Typical Staffing: 6 Techs (may operate with 4 at times)
- EMR: EPIC
