Fleet Operations Specialist / Transportation Analyst

Pay Range: $17 - $20/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Driver Support & Communication:
• Act as the evening point of contact for drivers.
• Handle incoming calls from drivers with field issues, schedule questions, or troubleshooting needs.
• Serve as an intermediary, evaluating whether issues need escalation.
• May assist with driver scheduling and ensuring drivers are on the road as planned.
• Administrative & Coordination Duties:
• Heavy use of Excel and other internal programs (training provided).
• Requires strong computer skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
• Will be trained on trucking-specific systems and processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers to coordinate schedules.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with DOT safety standards and documentation requirements.
• Maintain and update driver qualification records and compliance systems in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Provide courteous, reliable support through phone and digital communication platforms.
• Collaborate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Incoming calls, MS Excel, Trucking/transportation/Logistics, TMS/ Transportation Management System
• Experience: Trucking experience is not required, but transportation/logistics background is helpful.
• Strong communication skills are essential for managing driver interactions and problem-solving.
• Excel proficiency and organizational skills are top priorities.
• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Communication Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital filing systems.
• Excellent organizational and customer service abilities.
• Willingness to learn and apply DOT regulations (training provided).
• Background or familiarity with transportation, logistics, or DOT compliance.
• Experience with driver qualification files and safety documentation.
