Key Responsibilities :

• Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday, Clinic Hours)
• Direct daily clinic activities, make appropriate staff and patient assignments, manage patient flow, and round with gastroenterologists.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and serve as the primary clinical resource for staff.
• Clinical Leadership & Operations:• 
• Often take a modified patient assignment, providing direct nursing care for patients with GI conditions (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, liver disease).
• Perform procedures such as infusions (biologics), assist with minor procedures, and provide comprehensive patient education.
• Patient Care:• 
• Assist in the growth and development of clinic staff. Serve as a preceptor and mentor, model professional practice, and foster a healthy, collaborative work environment.
• Staff Development & Mentorship:• 
• Round daily to evaluate care quality. Promote evidence-based practice, participate in performance improvement, and ensure compliance with all clinic policies and accreditation standards.
• Quality & Safety:• 
• Act as the liaison between nursing staff, physicians, clinic manager, and other departments. Communicate effectively regarding staffing needs, clinical concerns, and process improvements.
• Coordination & Communication:• 
• Tactical Duties: Participate in scheduling, equipment management, discharge planning coordination, and ensuring survey readiness.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills: Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• Current BLS certification (required upon hire); ACLS within 6 months
• Minimum 2 years of experience in team leading and patient care
• Gastroenterology, digestive health, or ambulatory clinic experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an Associate Degree/Diploma Nurse is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required upon hire or within 6 months.
• Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (CGRN) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in team leading and direct patient care is required.
• Experience in a Gastroenterology clinic, Digestive Health, Infusion Center, or related ambulatory specialty is highly preferred.
• Proven charge nurse, lead, or preceptor experience in a clinical setting is essential.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to solve clinical and operational challenges, manage patient flow, and inspire a team.
• Clinical expertise in GI conditions and treatments.
