Pay Range: $43 - $48 /hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to renal, vascular, and post-surgical patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress
• Monitor post-operative status including vital signs, intake/output, wounds, drains, and pain control
• Manage complex medical needs including kidney disease symptoms, hypertension, diabetes, and fluid overload
• Collaborate with surgeons, nephrologists, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medication management, and long-term renal/vascular health
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments in accordance with standards
• Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
• Assist with early mobility, ambulation, and recovery activities to support surgical outcomes
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary
• Support patient safety goals, infection control standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Strong assessment skills for renal, vascular, and post-operative surgical patients
• Proficiency in monitoring fluid balance, electrolytes, hemodynamics, and wound status
• Experience with post-operative care including drains, dressings, Foley care, and pain management
• Ability to recognize early signs of complications such as bleeding, infection, or renal deterioration
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and telemetry interpretation
• Strong patient-education skills related to chronic kidney disease, dialysis prep, vascular recovery, and lifestyle management
• Ability to multitask and manage high-acuity surgical and medical patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, acute-care environment
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or surgical nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to client care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
