Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care & Assessment-Provide comprehensive care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• Conduct thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust interventions as necessary
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation according to clinical standards
• Care Coordination & Collaboration-Serve as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and the care team
• Communicate patient status, needs, and updates in a timely and effective manner
• Support safe transitions of care and optimum patient flow
• Patient Advocacy & Education-Address patient and family concerns with compassion and clarity
• Provide education on conditions, treatment plans, and care procedures
• Promote patient- and family-centered care principles
• Professional Excellence & Development-Maintain professional competence, required certifications, and licensure
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Stay current with clinical best practices and evidence-based care
• Mentor and support fellow nurses as needed

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN License (Georgia or Multi-State Compact)
• BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP (Depending on unit) — must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• National specialty certification related to critical care or trauma
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning
