Key Responsibilities:
- Therapy
- Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment .
- Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Caseload management .
- Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
- Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
- Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.
- Administrative
- Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
- Key Skills: Addiction Counsellor, Substance Abuse Counsellor, Mental Health Counsellor .
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field preferred,
- Bachelor of Arts required.
- Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, substance use or IDD.
- Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.
- ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program .
- FBI clearance, as needed .
