Lab Technician

Pay Range: $25 - $26/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Sample Preparation:Section (cut) sample parts using a manual abrasive saw.
• Mount, sand, and polish specimens for metallurgical analysis.
• Testing & Analysis:Perform Archimedes density measurements.
• Conduct metallurgical micrograph analysis, including grain size and microstructure evaluation.
• Perform hardness testing using appropriate equipment and standards.
• Documentation & Reporting:Accurately document test results in laboratory reports.
• Compile and organize data into spreadsheets or other formats as requested by engineering staff.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Skills-1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with metallographic preparation techniques and testing methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Laboratory and manufacturing floor settings.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
• May involve standing for extended periods and handling of small tools and equipment.
• Work shift – 40hrs per week, 8hrs per day M-F can accommodate a start time of 6am-8am
• Mode of Interview: Team screen followed by in-person interview
