Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Leadership & Operations: Act as the Nurse Manager's designee on the evening shift. Support charge nurses and staff to ensure the effective running of the care delivery system.
- Assist with daily operations, staffing, and serve as a primary clinical and operational resource.
- Staff Development & Mentorship: Play a pivotal role in staff recruitment, mentoring, retention, and performance management.
- Coach and counsel staff, participate in performance reviews, and foster a healthy, safe, and desirable work environment that promotes growth.
- Quality & Clinical Excellence: Promote staff clinical competency and hold the team accountable to the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Support performance improvement projects, evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Financial & Resource Stewardship: Assist with budget development and monitoring.
- Learn to apply lean principles to reduce waste and improve the performance of clinical systems and operations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Model teamwork and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and other departments.
- Effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and represent the organization positively.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Assistant Nurse Manager, Medical-Surgical (MedSurg), Leadership, BLS
- Licensure: Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire. National certification in nursing administration (e.g., CNML) preferred upon hire.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience required. Experience in a Medical-Surgical or Acute Care setting is essential. Previous charge nurse, lead, or other informal leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship-building skills. A demonstrated desire to coach, mentor, and develop others.
- Strong interest in learning business operations, healthcare finance, and using data to drive decisions.
- Must be a continuous learner with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
