Key Responsibilities:

• Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Schedule: Full-time, 4 days/week
• Format: 4/10-hour shifts (Monday-Friday, 4 days)
• Call Requirement: 7-9 days of call every 4 weeks for emergent after-hours procedures. 30-minute response time required.
• Very little weekend call (1 weekend per month) as weekend tech handles most call.
• Our client is a 121-bed, full-service hospital featuring:
• Certified Primary Stroke Center
• Certified Chest Pain Center
• Magnet recognition for nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superiority in patient care.
• Perform high-quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol
• Demonstrate expertise in radiation dose reference levels and monitoring
• Utilize iSTAT point of care testing for obtaining creatinine levels
• Communicate with patients using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)
• Prepare patients and position for procedures using appropriate immobilization and exposure factors
• Maintain sterile technique for invasive procedures and adhere to infection control protocols
• Operate and maintain equipment; work with engineers for optimal performance
• Screen patients for safety according to approved policies
• Maintain accurate medical imaging records and documentation
• Participate in call rotation with 30-minute response time

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of related program
• ARRT, RCIS, or related credential
• Must be willing to cross-train into Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (or hold additional certifications)
• Texas MRT license (unless MRI or Ultrasound role)
• BLS certification (within 30 days)
• ARRT (R) with additional certification (CI, VI, CT, MRI, Mammo)
• RCIS with additional certification
• RCES as additional certification
• Combination of RCIS and ARRT together
• ARRT-BS, ARRT-BD, ARRT-CT, ARRT-M, ARRT-MR, ARRT-N, ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV
• RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-OB, RDMS-PS, RVT
• CNMT or ARMRIT
• Graduate of accredited program (Associate's degree in Radiology or related field)
• Certification in two imaging modalities (or willingness to cross-train)
• Texas MRT license (unless MRI or Ultrasound role)
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• Must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call response
