Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across business units to effectively detect, report, and prevent fraud.
- Monitor accounts with identified fraudulent wire activity and manage cases from end-to-end.
- Escalate suspicious cases to investigation units, providing detailed information to aid in fraud prevention.
- Ensure accurate and timely case documentation and reporting, with attention to all necessary compliance details.
- Conduct detailed fraud detection from various sources, including online search tools, and take prompt action on suspect accounts.
- Draft detailed narratives and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with FinCEN requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity, managing case evidence and supporting documentation.
- Adhere to all process and compliance standards, apply ethical judgment in behaviour and business practices, and escalate control issues transparently.
- Key Skills:managing complex cash transaction types, monitoring accounts, identifying fraudulent activity, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards .
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 1-5 years of experience in fraud investigation, compliance, or monitoring, ideally in a financial institution.
- Proven experience with SAR writing and understanding of FinCEN regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in fraud detection and monitoring, with expertise in tools like KYC and Cognos.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills with keen attention to detail.
- Background in financial services with direct experience in fraud prevention.
- Proven research abilities with familiarity in online fraud detection tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong case management skills, demonstrating an ability to provide comprehensive evidence and documentation.
- Self-starter with the capacity to work autonomously.
