Python Developer

Immediate need for a talented Python Developer. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Westlake, TX(Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $70 - $73/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and implement complex Python data computation applications.
• Lead the design and implementation of key features and components of our product suite.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and maintainability through linting and automated testing.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure software deliverables meet high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues.

 
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:  

• Manager is looking for some one who knows Portfolio Analytics, Fund Accounting, Portfolio and Security Reference, Index, Characteristics, Risk Measures, Performance, Attribution etc.
• If they have CFA or CIPM certificates would be a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior Python Developer primarily backend applications
• Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with various Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Flask, Django, Fast API
• Understanding of code quality, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior developers is a plus.
