- Clinical Leadership: Provide continuous leadership and serve as a clinical resource for the PreOp nursing team.
- Coordinate patient assignments, manage patient flow, and facilitate effective communication among surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff.
- Care Coordination: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based preoperative nursing care.
- Ensure thorough patient assessments, accurate verification of surgical consents, and proper implementation of preoperative orders.
- Patient & Family Experience: Serve as the frontline representative of the patient care team, acting as the intermediary between patients, families, providers, and other care team members.
- Ensure patients and families are educated and emotionally prepared for surgery.
- Team Development: Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist with orientation of new employees and contribute to ongoing staff education.
- Quality & Safety: Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and patient safety standards, including proper surgical site marking and time-out protocols.
- Resource Management: Ensure appropriate utilization of nursing and clinical resources, manage supplies efficiently, and maintain a safe, organized preoperative environment.
- Other duties as assigned. Complies with all client policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

- Schedule: Full Time
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact (RN-COMPACT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Required: Minimum of 2-3 years of acute care nursing experience, with previous experience in PreOp, PACU, or Perioperative services preferred.
- Prior charge nurse or leadership experience is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Expertise in preoperative assessment, patient education, and surgical preparation protocols.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and coordinating complex patient schedules.
- Commitment to patient advocacy, satisfaction, and maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
