Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assess Legacy Systems: Evaluate existing legacy applications and identify key areas for modernization.
• Design Microservices Architecture: Define the architecture for transitioning from monolithic to MicroServices, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and efficiency.
• Technology Selection: Recommend the appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks to modernize the legacy system.
• Data Migration Strategy: Plan for the migration of data from monolithic databases to MicroServices-based architectures
• Implement DevOps Practices: Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Security & Compliance: Establish security practices for the new MicroServices ecosystem, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure the architecture meets business requirements.
• Lead Implementation: Guide development teams through the process of implementing MicroServices, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Ensure the new system is scalable, performant, and highly available.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Skills-Microservices Architecture – Hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable Microservices solutions.
• Legacy System Modernization/Migration – Experience transitioning monolithic applications (Mainframe, .Net, Java) into cloud-native, distributed systems.
• Database Expertise – Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Cockroach DB) and their migration strategies
• Most of the legacy applications are Mainframe, .Net and Java based. Some of the other technologies involved are Oracle, SQL Server, MuleSoft/MQSeries/Apache Camel, Kafka, Rules Engine, Camunda, Distributed Databases (Cockroach/Aurora), OpenShift, Containers, etc.
•  Not looking for specific exp with all of these skills. Need a well-rounded architect who has worked with different technologies.
