Cyber Fraud Analyst

Pay Range: $60 - $80/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform prescribed activities promptly and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement.
  • Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within Cyber Fraud Dection and areas of expertise
  • (Very important) Individual contributor mentality where resource takes initiative and demonstrates a clear set of leadership behaviors to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard.   • Takes responsibility for the results of a team’s operational processing and activities.
  • Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately.
  • Take responsibility for embedding new policies/ procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls about the work you own or contribute to. Deliver your work and areas of responsibility in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Maintain and continually build an understanding of how one's sub-function integrates with the function, alongside knowledge of the organization's products, services, and processes within the function.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Skills-Cyber Fraud, Risk Mitigation, Cyber threats, Fraud Analysis.
  • Must have worked on the Cyber Fraud Fusion team (Client, Client, and Barclay have big teams in these areas).
  • Strong knowledge of current Cyber Fraud trends, including standard Account Takeover techniques and banking malware.
  • Identify emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques, and technologies to detect/prevent incidents, and collaborate with networks and conferences to gain industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience taking responsibility for embedding new policies/ procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
  • Taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls about the work you own or contribute to delivering your work and areas of responsibility in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Identify areas for tuning use cases to enhance monitoring value.
  • Engage with Fraud Policy, Operations, Strategy, and other teams for early detection, prevention, and mitigation of detected fraudulent activities.
  • Reduce risk by analyzing the issues' root causes, impacts, and required corrective actions.
  • Monitoring external data sources and leveraging vendor resources to gather intelligence from the deep and dark web, covert communication channels, social media platforms, and other OSINT sources.
  • Experience working in either cyber/fraud intelligence collection & analysis, or cyber/fraud/financial crimes-oriented investigations.
  • Knowledge of malicious tools and techniques used by cyber/fraud/financial crime adversaries to target the financial sector, including but not limited to fraud, compromised/false data, cyber-related (Trojans, Malware, Phishing, Smishing)
  • Experience with cyber, fraud, and/or financial crimes
  • monitoring, detection, and prevention systems
