Immediate need for a talented Communications Associate with experience in the Finance & Banking Industry. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Newark, NJ. Please review the job description below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • At the direction of management, the individual will be called upon to assist with communications initiatives, participate in project teams, and interact with leaders across the organization.
  • Strong relationship management skills are important as the individual may be asked to work directly with leaders to create and deliver messaging, content and assets that support a larger strategy.
  • A passion for storytelling and experience writing quality business communications is imperative. 
  • The individual will be responsible for writing for a variety of media, supporting short video projects, and proactively and reactively addressing executives’ communication needs.
  • The individual may assist in setting up and driving corporate events and large leadership meetings.
  • A background of successfully working with executives, driving the logistical aspects of corporate functions, and a working knowledge of the technologies and platforms associated with multi-site meetings and events is required (i.e. WebEx, Skype, Slido, Zoom).
  • The individual should be a creative problem solver with the courage and persistency to convey your point of view, collaborate well with team members, convey key messages clearly, and drive results.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Three to five years of communications experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field a plus.
  • Strong copywriting skills for a variety of audiences in a variety of media.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience in video production, editing, storyboarding, video creation and editing software is a plus (but not required).
  • Financial industry experience a plus.
  • Experience setting up and driving multi-site executive meetings and on-site run-of-show experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening and writing/editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with SharePoint, MS Teams and MS Forms a plus.
  • Experience with Photoshop and Premiere Pro a plus (but not required).
