Key Responsibilities:
- Shift : 8-5 CST
- Reviewing faxes that come in from the providers and members that are appealing a denial of medical claim.
- If it is a true appeal, then they will send the documents to a vendor that will review them.
- After the vendor makes their decision to uphold/overturn the claim, then they will follow the procedures on notifying the provider/member of the decision.
- We mainly do this be sending a letter, but on occasion we have to call them.
- Skills-Grievance & Appeals, Claims processing & Computer proficiency
- Computer Skills
- Strong oral, written and problem solving
- Health Claims
- High School Diploma
- Associate’s degree or 2+ experience with medical claims process.
- Microsoft Word
