Mobile Developer (Android)

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Team: Xfinity Stream for Android platform - application is to allow users to search for and play content to stream on mobile devices such as phones, tv, tablets, etc
• Support flagship mobile streaming application for Xfinity, enabling users to search for and stream content across Android devices phones, tablets, Fire TV, etc. using their Client subscription.
• Role: Maintain and enhance an established Android application. Work on legacy code (Java) while continuing development using Kotlin.
• Fix bugs, improve performance, develop new features, and test the app.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Kotlin and Java
• Jetpack Compose
• Coroutines
• Need: Kotlin, Git, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines (all must have)
• Git for source control
• Must have Java and Kotlin--the app is currently written in both
• Jetpack Compose, standard Android UI libraries.
• Standard stack for library for UI devices
• Kotlin and jetpack compose
• Android studio, Jira
• Java, Kotlin, android platform
• Top 3: Work primarily with Java and Kotlin on a daily basis, with Android environment experience
• Candidates with experience working with larger apps like Hulu Netflix, amazon prime etc.  works well. Financial apps or security also works due to volume
• Needs: Android engineer focused on android environment
• Not looking for: Does not want a cross platform eng that has done React native, no iOS developers
