Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and overall management for an acute care nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care
- Lead staff recruitment, retention, engagement, and professional development through shared governance and relationship-based care
- Serve as the unit’s chief retention and safety officer, proactively managing risks and promoting a safe work environment
- Oversee clinical, financial, human, and material resources to achieve operational, quality, and business outcomes
- Analyze and manage budgets, staffing, and resource utilization to meet performance targets
- Foster effective interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, staff, and leadership teams
- Establish performance standards and hold staff accountable through coaching, communication, and evaluation
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
- Utilize data and technology to support clinical and operational decision-making
- Lead change management initiatives and support a diverse, multigenerational workforce
- Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, ethics, licensure, accreditation, and organizational policies
- Skills-Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage staffing, budgets, and operational resources
- Experience with shared governance and staff engagement models
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Ability to analyze data and use technology to support decision-making
- Change management and conflict resolution skills
- Strong relationship-building and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Continuous learning mindset with understanding of healthcare financing and operations
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
- Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Experience:Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
- Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
- Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
